Build confidence, Resilience, and Leadership
Field skills can only take you so far.
In order to be the best version of yourself, you need to learn more than just soccer skills and techniques.
The whole player project is a year-long mentorship and development experience designed to help athletes take the lessons learned through soccer and apply them beyond the field. Through guided curriculum, reflection, challenges, discussion, storytelling, and accountability, players don’t just learn these principles - they practice them, experience them, and develop habits that last.
Our goal is simple:
To help athletes become not only better players, but stronger leaders and healthier young women.
Ashley Meyers, Head Trainer
Founders Note
Over the years, I’ve worked, I’ve worked with thousands of players. While everyone focuses on technical skills and performance, I’ve noticed that many athletes struggle with confidence, identity, pressure, comparison and knowing who they are when soccer isn’t going well.
That's why I created the whole player project. I wanted to create something that develops more than the athlete. A place where players can grow in confidence, leadership, resilience, and character while learning how the lessons from soccer apply to life.
My hope is that every player leaves this program not only as a better soccer player, but as a stronger young woman who understands her value extends far beyond the game.
If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to learn more about the whole player project.
Why The Whole Player Project
The Whole Player Project wasn’t created because something was missing from our training. It was created because the lessons we teach every night deserved a place where they could be practiced, reflected on, and lived out consistently over time.
At Warrior Soccer Training, we’ve always believed that soccer is more than technical development. Every session is built around principles like discipline, resilience, confidence, leadership, communication, and handling adversity.
These aren’t just concepts we’ve learned from a textbook –they’ve been shaped through years of firsthand experience as a player, coach, and mentor navigating the same challenges our athletes face today.
Over time, we realized that while these conversations were happening organically in training, true growth requires more than a single conversation or a moment. It requires intentionality, consistency, reflection, andreal - life application.
That’s why we created the whole player project.
What to Expect
Documentaries → See the Lesson
Training → Experience the lesson.
Journaling → Reflect on the lesson.
Life Application → Live the lesson.
What The Whole Player Project Includes:
Training Sessions:
Growth doesn’t happen through lectures –it happens through experience.
Every training session is built around the monthly theme, with challenges and game-like scenarios designed to
bring the lesson to life. Players don’t just learn about confidence, leadership, or resilience; they are placed in
situations that require them to practice these skills in real time.
As challenges arise, we guide players through the process, helping them recognize patterns, apply solutions,
and develop the mindset needed to thrive under pressure. The result is learning that is felt, practiced and
retained – not simply discussed.
Players don’t just learn the lesson –they experience it, practice it, and reflect on it.
Life After the Game: Former Player Documentary Style Stories
We believe one of the greatest gifts soccer can offer is preparation for life beyond the field.
That’s why we share documentary-style stories from women who played at a high level and are now using the lessons they learned through the game to excel in other areas of life.
Whether as entrepreneurs, coaches, business leaders, mothers, wives or mentors, these women demonstrate how the discipline, resilience, confidence, leadership and character developed through sport continue to shape their lives today.
Their stories help players see that success is not defined solely by where soccer takes them, but by who they become because of it.
Because while not every player will play soccer forever, every player will carry its lessons for the rest of her life.
Life Inside the Game: Current Player Documentary Style Stories
We believe lessons are most powerful when they’re both taught and modeled.
Throughout the program, players will watch documentary - style stories featuring current high-level female athletes navigating confidence, pressure, failure, leadership, identity, and resilience in real time. These stories help bridge the gap between theory and reality, allowing players to learn from athletes who are actively living in the journey themselves.
By connecting with authentic stories, participants gain perspective, encouragement, and a deeper An
understanding of how these principles apply both on and off the field.
Real players. Real challenges. Real growth.
The Whole Player Journal:
We believe some of the most important growth happens when players take time to think, process, and reflect.
Throughout the year, participants will engage with powerful questions designed to challenge assumptions, increase self-awareness, and encourage honest reflection. Guided journaling activities help players dig deeper, connect the lessons from training and life, and develop a clearer understanding of identity, values, and goals. Rather than simply moving from one experience to the next, players learn how to extract meaning from their journey and apply those lessons moving forward.
The goal isn’t to just have experiences – it’s to learn from them.
Duration: A year-long commitment
“These aren’t lessons we teach once. They’re lessons we practice everyday.
Parents are used to camps and workshops. Character, confidence, identity and leadership are developed through process, not presentation.
Soccer is an incredible teacher, but the lessons aren’t always easy. Every player will encounter challenges that test their confidence, identity, and love for the game. Left unchecked, those struggles can steal joy, create fear, and turn the sport into something that feels heavy.
We believe there’s another way.
Through intentional mentorship and development, players can learn how to navigate challenges with freedom,
perspective, and a growth mindset. Instead of being trapped by pressure or setbacks, they can use those
experiences to become stronger, more resilient, and more fulfilled both as athletes and as people.
The game will test you. We’ll help you grow through it. That’s why we created the whole player project.
The Whole Player Community:
Community Matters.
One of the most powerful realizations a player can have is that they are not alone. The challenges, doubts, fears, and setbacks they experience are often shared by countless other athletes walking a similar path.
Through group discussions, shared experiences, documentaries, and mentorship, players discover that others are navigating many of the same struggles. This sense of connection creates encouragement, perspective,
and belonging – reminding athletes that growth is not meant to happen in isolation.
When players realize they're not alone, challenges become more manageable, and growth becomes possible.
